Our Story
This newsletter is run by Jon C. Phillips and Marko Denic. We've been building on the web for over 30 years combined, and if there's one thing we've learned, it's that writing code was never the hard part.
The hard part is everything else. Figuring out what to build, getting it in front of people, making decisions when you have incomplete information, and knowing when something is actually ready versus when you're just stalling because you're nervous. Nobody teaches you this stuff. You just eventually figure it out after enough projects that go nowhere.
We started dailytips.dev because we wanted a newsletter that focused on this gap. Most dev content is about languages, frameworks, and tools, which is great, but it's not where most of us actually get stuck. We get stuck on the decisions and the strategy and the distribution, the stuff that determines whether anyone ever uses the thing we built.
Every day we send one tip you can read in less than five minutes and actually do something with. That's it. It's free and it always will be.
Thanks for being here.
